KITV Island News searching for next Robert Kekaula fellow

Island News is offering the Robert Kekaula fellowship, a paid position in the newsroom awarded to a local college student intent on pursuing a career in journalism.

The year-long fellowship will allow aspiring storytellers to experience what it’s like to work firsthand with people in all departments of the news station. The RK Fellow will get opportunities to write, interview, make good journalistic ethical decisions, shoot video and edit, and more!

The Robert Kekaula Fellowship is a paid, part-time position for 20 hours per week and paid $15 an hour.

The deadline to apply for the fellowship is Friday, March 1, 2024. The fellowship is set to begin on Monday, May 20, 2024.
