The Hawaii chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association is proud to partner with Hawaii’s Society of Professional Journalists chapter in organizing Parachute Workshops, presented by the Online News Association.
The ONA will host two days of free digital journalism training and workshops at the East-West Center in Honolulu, January 21-22, 2011.
The sessions run each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will cover mobile production, free web tools, business models, career skills and legal issues. Check below for a detailed schedule.
As of Dec. 21, registration is closed. However if you are still interested in attending, contact AAJA chapter President Gene Park for possible opportunities to still attend.
This training initiative is made possible by a grant from the Gannett Foundation that enables ONA to use its considerable resources to help digital journalists and fill the voids in areas hard hit by media organization closures and job losses.
The workshop agenda and list of trainers are available here.
