2011 Board
President: Gene Park
Gene is a reporter for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. He is also vice president of the state’s newsroom union, The Hawaii Newspaper Guild. He has been with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin since September 2006, having worked as a reporter and copy editor.
He was also the assistant news editor of the Pacific Daily News on Guam. He has also written for the Orange County Register, San Gabriel Valley Tribune, Marianas Variety, Marianas Business Journal and Quill Magazine.

Vice President: Linda Dela Cruz
Linda is a reporter and producer with experience in print, radio, and online. She worked as a reporter and producer for Clear Channel Radio since 1997 which includes KHVH 830 AM, KIKI 990 AM, KSSK 590 AM, and KSSK 92.3 FM.
She previously worked as the website editor and senior writer for MidWeek. Her freelance writing has appeared in Pacific Business News, Hawaii Business Magazine, Gusto Magazine, Makai Ocean Lifestyle Magazine, Hawaii Filipino Chronicle, and Filipinas Magazine.

Stan is the student publications advisor at Leeward Community College and a freelance writer. Most recently, he was a sports reporter at The Honolulu Advertiser, covering everything from high school sailing to shooting videos for the Web. He has also reported for The Maui News, is a former AAJA National Board member and was an intern at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

From Kaneohe, Kristen is a photojournalist for the Hawaii Marine. She has been a contractor for Oahu Publications working on Marine Corps Base Hawaii for two years. She has previously served as the AAJA Hawaii secretary and AAJA Hawaii president.
